Usually, when we talk about oregano, we are referring to Origanum vulgare, known as common oregano. Oregano has an upright habit and can grow into bushes. It can reach a height ranging from 30 to 60 cm.
The leaves are usually dark green. The leaves are small, oval and have entire edges. They may have a light fuzz on the surface.
During flowering, which occurs in summer, oregano produces small flowers gathered in round inflorescences. The color of the flowers can vary from pink to purple. Oregano is known for its distinctive, pungent aroma. The essential oil in the leaves imparts a robust scent, often described as a combination of thyme and oregano. Prefers sunny positions. Requires well-drained soil and can tolerate poor soil. Oregano is a widely used herb in cooking, especially in Mediterranean cuisine. Adds flavor to dishes such as pizzas, sauces, salads and meats. It requires moderate watering and does not tolerate too wet soil. Pruning can be done to maintain shape and stimulate denser growth.

Siamo più che soddisfatti dell'acquisto, eravamo un po' titubanti per via del lungo viaggio, ma siete stati fantastici... Le piantine erano confezionate molto bene e anche se il pacco è arrivato capovolto ( e non oso immaginare altro) non hanno subito danni... Dopo una settimana posso dire che sono attecchire bene tutte, le rosse sono pure fiorite.... Super soddisfatti, grazie
