Lithodora diffusion

Lithodora difficile for sale in a 14cm pot, commonly known as "Lithodora" or "Lithospermum diffusum," is a perennial ground cover known for its bright blue flowers and compact, trailing appearance. Lithodora difficile is a low-growing plant that forms a dense, compact carpet of leaves and flowers. It usually grows to a height of 15-30 centimeters, but can expand considerably in width, covering the ground with its leaves and flowers. The leaves of Lithodora are small, oval and dark green. They are covered in fine hair which gives them a light silvery hue and a slightly furry appearance. The highlight of this plant are its deep blue star-shaped flowers. The flowers are gathered in small groups at the base of the leaves and bloom in spring and early summer, creating a fascinating carpet of color. Lithodora difficile is native to the Mediterranean regions and is resistant to summer heat. However, it may require extra protection during very cold and freezing winters. This plant is widely grown for its ornamental appearance. It is ideal for use as a ground cover, flower bed borders and rock gardens.
